Many moons ago I mentioned that I was interested in watching some recent TV show additions to Netflix Canada. In particular Farscape and Stargate SG-1. Both shows that I missed the first time that they aired.
Well, shortly after that post I started watching Farscape. It was great, loved it.
Then I started watching Stargate SG-1. Another great show, loved it.
In the case of Farscape, it was cancelled in the final season without notice, so it ends on a cliffhanger. Luckily, a 2 part mini-series was released to wrap everything up. Unfortunately, it’s not available for streaming on Netflix, so I had to download it illegally. 🙁
In the case of Stargate SG-1, the series finale is not really a series finale and is instead a lead up to two direct-to-DVD movies that were released in 2008. It’s available on Netflix, but not in Canada. BOOOOOOOO
Fortunately, I have also been testing out the DNS redirecting service from UnoTelly, so I was able to circumvent the system and watch them anyway. (On a side note, I should have a review of the service up in a few weeks).
Which brings me to the title of this post. Hey Netflix Canada, where the hell is Stargate Atlantis? I can see that it’s on Netflix US. Why carry Stargate SG-1 and not Atlantis? Or Stargate Universe for that matter? Pretty shitty move getting us hooked on Stargate by giving us SG-1, but then cutting us off!!!
